Why do i see a tinny black dot everywhere i look?

This started just yesterday. Everywhere i look from my left eye only i can see a tiny black dot that follows in what direction my eyes move.It doesn't move on its own. Please tell me what this could be and if i need to see a doctor or if its gonna go away! :(
